ARCHONTIES<\/p>\n<p>Kastoria is surrounded by its lake and is connected to the land through a wider strip of land from embankments, giving the impression of an island.<br \/>\nIt is connected by air to Athens, with 4-5 routes a week depending on the season through Aristotle International Airport, located in Argos Orestikos, 8 km from the city of Kastoria. Access to the city is easy and secure via the Egnatia Road. Landscapes of immense natural beauty and a multitude of historical monuments make up the mosaic of Kastoria and together with the excellent tourist infrastructure provide an ideal combination for winter and summer holidays. The beautiful nature of Kastoria offers both winter and summer tourism. You can enjoy the winter, skiing in the snowy mountains or excursions to the dense forests, while in the summer, the cool green of the mountain and the idyllic blue of the lake. No one can resist an enjoyable stroll on the beach during the afternoon and evening hours, where the whole beach along the way vibrates with life. Kastoria is famous for its snacks in the tsipourodias and the good food in the many restaurants of the city.<\/p>\n<p>PROPOSALS FOR THE CITY<\/p>\n<p>THE LAKE OF THE LAKE. The wealthy merchant furriers who came back from Europe bringing furniture, decorative and &#8220;fresh&#8221; ideas to decorate the interior of the buildings with paintings and impressively carved wood carvings on the ceilings, cupboards and fireplaces.<\/p>\n<p>SMALL CAR EXCURSIONS AROUND KASTORIA<\/p>\n<p>THE LISBON LANDSCAPE OF DISPILI In Dispilio (6km from Kastoria), the first lake settlement of 5000 BC was discovered by accident in 1932. which shows that Kastoria had been inhabited since the Neolithic years.<br \/>\nTHE DISASTERED FOREST NOSTIMOS A 27 million-year-old fossil forest lies in Kastoria<br \/>\nTHE MUSEUM OF COLORS OF FOLKLORE AND PROISTORY ARCHES in Mavrochori, Kastoria (about 10 km from Kastoria)<br \/>\nLINE The mountainous mass of Grammos is a place of incomparable beauty and perhaps one of the few unexplored destinations of Greece<br \/>\nVITSI, with its wooded slopes and rare flora and fauna, is one of the most interesting destinations for nature lovers. The highest peak of this important habitat, which is the natural border of the prefectures of Florina and Kastoria, is 2,126 meters.<br \/>\nNestorio, a beautiful village at the foot of Grammos, where the famous River Party is held every summer. This enormous water body consists of Little and Big Prespa, which separates a strip of land 5km long and 8-100m wide.<\/p>\n<p>CULTURAL EVENTS<\/p>\n<p>The Kastoria Kastoria of Kastoria is characterized by the &#8220;Ragoutsaria&#8221; on the weekend of 6-8 January, customs that have their roots in the Dionysian celebrations. The events culminate on the third day, the so-called Pateritsa, with the big parade of the masquerades. The &#8220;River Party&#8221; artistic and musical event on the banks of the Aliakmonas River in Nestorio, organized on the first weekend of August.
